Why should tacos have all the fun? What Hiddenbrooke also needs is a Thai & Sushi Tuesday. And I’ve got JUST the place. I was excited when The Loft Thai Fusion restaurant first opened in early 2017 because the building had been vacant for the first 5 years that we lived here. My wife and I were among the first to follow their Facebook page and when we first ate there the staff insisted on taking our photo for their back wall. They even asked us to autograph the picture.
When we returned a few weeks later, again we were asked for a photo for the wall. But this time the staff wrote on the picture: “legendary customer.” It takes ALOT to make me blush, but that did it. When my daughter called them to order a gift card one Father’s Day, the person on the phone said, “Oh, we know Mr. Thomas” and they insisted on hand-delivering the card to our door. That’s legendary in our family. We have a few favorite dishes there, but as adventurous eaters we were excited to see the menu expand to include sushi. The pandemic caused their business model to veer more toward takeout and delivery.
Since Tuesday evenings are not usually a busy time for them, The Loft’s owner, Chalit Sunthudkarn, is welcoming us to a Hiddenbrooke Neighbor Exchange @ The LOFT on August 29 from 5-7pm for what I’m shamelessly calling Thai & Sushi Tuesday. Their full regular menu will be available and no RSVPs are needed. But to be sure you don’t have a long wait for your food, Mr. Sunthudkarn recommends that you order online at https://www.theloftthaifusion.com/ and note what time on Tuesday evening that you plan to arrive. Your food will be packaged as a to-go order with utensils, but you’re welcome to stay there with your neighbors to eat inside or on the patio. Beer and wine will be available for purchase, but you can’t order that online. Parking may be limited, so plan to carpool or walk.
Mr. Sunthudkarn says, “The Loft Thai & Sushi Bar specializes in a variety of unique sushi rolls and Thai favorite dishes, from Rainbow Roll, Poke Bowl to Pad Thai. The Sushi Bar only uses the freshest and highest quality ingredients to make unique sushi plates. Our intention is to cook and deliver high quality asian cuisine that Hiddenbrooke residents can enjoy everyday and every meal. If you are in Hiddenbrooke and had visited us long time ago and have not visited us lately, this could be another great chance to visit us once again to see our newly updates and let us serve happiness and joy to you and your loved ones at The Loft.”
