IP Addresses
We may keep track of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to (among other things): (i) troubleshoot technical concerns, (ii) maintain website safety and security, (iii) restrict access to our Sites to certain users, and, (iv) better understand how our Sites are utilized. An IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer every time you log on to the Internet.
Log Files
We (or a vendor on our behalf) may collect information in the form of logs – files that record website activity and gather statistics about web users’ aggregate browsing habits to improve the site experience. These entries are generated anonymously and help us gather (among other things) (i) a user’s browser type and operating system, (ii) information about a user’s session (such as the URL they came from, the date and time they visited our Site, and which pages they’ve viewed on our site and for how long), and, (iii) other similar navigational or click-stream data. We also use information captured in log file for our internal marketing and demographic studies, so we can constantly improve and customize the online services we provide you. Log files are used internally only and are not associated with any particular user.
Do we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information for their promotional purposes unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. The term “outside parties” does not include Neighbor Exchange. It also does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
We allow user comments on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information such as your name. Do not post any information you wish to keep private. The site may be viewed anonymously, but only registered users are allowed to comment. The site is moderated to avoid spam posts, and it is at our sole discretion, whether comments will be approved and posted. We may also remove approved comments at our sole discretion.
Analytics Tools
We use analytics tools and other third-party technologies, such as Google Analytics or Yoast, to collect non-personal information in the form of various usage and user metrics when you use our online sites. You may unsubscribe from email at any time. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production.

Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

Terms and Conditions of Commenting and Participation in Activities
Neighbor Exchange is dedicated to providing a positive, ad-free opportunity to discuss businesses and experiences that are available to people who live in our neighborhood. We allow registered site users to comment on posted articles. This is meant to be a harassment and advertisement-free safe place for our neighbors to have discussions. We have a few rules to help it stay that way.
- Be Kind and Courteous. We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
- No Hate Speech or Bullying. Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. See Harassment Free Space below for more about that.
- No Promotions or Spam. Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren’t allowed.
- No Selling. No Selling of any type is allowed.
- No Tagging or Sharing of Private Identification Information. We strive to assure everyone’s privacy in the Exchange and some may not want outsiders to see activity or know their identities.
- No Drugs, No Crime. Please no illicit drug references or references to or examples of criminal activity.
Harassment Free Space
We provide a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, color, ethnicity, political position, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants or staff in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any Neighbor Exchange activity or media contact. Participants violating these rules will be removed from the site summarily, at our sole discretion. All commentors, guest authors, and any other participants are required to agree and abide with the Anti-Harassment Policy.
Harassment includes but is not limited to:
- offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, color, ethnicity, political position or religion
- public sharing or displaying of sexual, violent, derogatory, offensive images or content
- intimidation
- stalking, following, harassing photography or recording
- sustained disruption of an activity (presentations, talks or other communication)
- inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention
- inappropriate email, text, or social media communications
Enforcement
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, we will immediately delete any relative comments, and may block the participant’s access to the site without warning. We require participants to follow these rules at any Neighbor Exchange event including but not limited to meet-ups, workshops, meetings, conference calls, and social events. There is no appeal process.
