Indian Restaurant Opens April 17

Avatar photoApr 16, 2026 · Ed Thomas

Hiddenbrooke Plaza’s newest business, Butter Chicken Blockbuster Indo-American Cusine, opens Friday, April 17, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the location formerly occupied by The Loft. The owner, Sand, wants this to be a place for neighbors to get together. He says the restaurant will open on Friday and the bar will open later once it receives the bar license. Parking may be limited, so plan to carpool or walk.

We were excited to be the very first ones served when the doors opened. The owner greeted us warmly and our waiter, Navi, took our order for Butter Chicken and Lamb Curry (both with medium spices) along with rice, naan, and mint lassies. The food was tasty, tender, well-spiced, generous portioned, and served hot. The service was friendly yet professional. We are eager to return and try the other menu items. This place is a welcomed addition to our neighborhood.

Went to Butter Chicken Blockbuster tonight. David ordered the Vegetable Korma and I ordered the Chicken Tikka. We also started with Samosas and mango lassis. My tikka masala was nothing short of delicious. Generous chunks of chicken and the sauce was not the typical sweet tomato sauce, it was so good. David’s was a dish we had never ordered and it was so tasty. We shared rice and Naan with our entrees. Waitstaff were friendly and made sure we were happy. Absolutely nothing to complain about and we can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.
