Picture-Perfect Pet Sitter
We adopted two 11-year-old border collie sisters (Luna and Pepper) during the pandemic. The litter mates grew up on a ranch in Gilroy, California and had never been in a car, walked on a leash, or visited a vet, although they were perfectly house-broken. When their pet mom died in hospice care, her sons wanted to be sure the dogs were able to stay together. It had been about 8 years since the dog and cat we owned when we moved to Hiddenbooke had both died of old age. Once the pandemic put a sudden stop to our frequent business travel, the time seemed right to reintroduce pets into our lives.
When the time came to begin traveling again, we needed someone to come by once a day to fill their food bowls. Our pet doors allow the dogs to come and go as they please, and they initially showed no interest in leaving the house for walks or car rides beyond the initial trip home from Gilroy to Vallejo and visits to American Canyon Veterinary Hospital.
Bernie Tolman was our faithful pet sitter when we first moved to Hiddenbrooke and she eagerly resumed caring for our new girls. When Bernie became unavailable, we were thrilled to find Jenna Frazier of Jenna’s Critter Care. Our dogs clearly looked forward to Jenna’s daily visits. We know because she got in the habit of texting us a photo of them each day when she fed them. We began looking forward to those daily glimpses once we got over the feeling that perhaps the dogs weren’t missing us that much. With 10 years of veterinary technician experience, Jenna is reliable and amazingly stepped up when a week-long business trip turned into a month-long family emergency in another state. She didn’t miss a beat, and Pepper and Luna thrived under her care until we returned home.
We strongly recommend Jenna’s Critter Care when you need a pet sitter. Contact Jenna on her mobile phone at 916-712-1336 or email her at jennascrittercare@yahoo.com.
