Crystal and Joselyn Reynoso, the co-owners of The Mat Yoga and Wellness studio opening in Hiddenbrooke Plaza, are sisters with a mission: to build a community for people who don’t want to have to travel to Napa or Walnut Creek for yoga and hot pilates, and to make those experiences more accessible to Hispanics like them. “We knew this Hiddenbrooke Plaza space was perfect for us the first time we saw it: perfect room shape with space for a lobby and backroom; right voltage for our heating system needs; and it’s less than 10 miles from our home,” says Crystal.
Crystal and Joselyn are from Sonoma County and migrated their way over to the East Bay recently to be close to their family. They are more than thrilled for their new adventure and eventually will add more teachers to their team. Crystal has been doing yoga and inferno hot pilates for more than 5 years. Her interest and love for yoga catapulted her into the decision to teach. She began teaching at CorePower Yoga a year ago and eventually made the choice with Joselyn to open up their own studio. Joselyn has been doing Inferno Hot Pilates for the past 5 years and her love for IHP only grew. She is certified to teach IHP and she cannot wait to bring this class to the community.
For opening weekend on December 1-3, the studio is offering free yoga and hot pilates classes with special “founder rates” for new sign-ups. Ahead of the official opening, they will offer two free classes on Saturday, November 25 so they can get feedback.
