Hi subscriber,

Next Meet-up is May 31. Thanks to the 25 folks who turned out for our last meet-up at Savage and Cooke Distillery, Bar and Restaurant on Mare Island. It was a pleasant surprise to receive free gift bags with pre-mixed cocktails. Several mentioned how much they would like to have more meet-ups there. The next meet-up planned is:
  • Wednesday, May 31 from 5-7 pm - IL Fiorello Olive Oil Company for tour and tasting. Reservations are necessary - call 707-864-1529. Details at www.neighborexchange.org/fiorello/
If you can't make this meet-up, please consider inviting a carful of your neighbors to join you at these local businesses on another day. Let us know your suggestions for place to have future meet-ups.

HPOA Board Self-Nominations Due by May 6. To learn how to nominate yourself, visit https://neighborexchange.org/board/. If you're not ready to run, please consider recruiting a neighbor to run for the board. Maybe your suggestion will be just the encouragement they need. Brian Nakamoto put it best when he commented recently on NextDoor: "IMHO, the current board seems to be doing fine. I appreciate the work they put in to help govern Hiddenbrooke. However, it's a shame that members don't get to vote when there aren't more candidates than available board seats (like last time). Skipping an election might save money but fails to engage the electorate."
