New and Updated Articles. Here's what's happened since our last newsletter:
|
Happy 6-month Anniversary to us! We launched Hiddenbrooke Neighbor Exchange this past January. And you folks certainly embraced the platform! So far, we've achieved:
|
- 30 articles that have spotlighted local businesses and local issues. Many of the articles have been updated as we gather new insights.
- We welcomed Leila Kinion and Sam Loeffler as guest authors who wrote articles about topics they felt passionate about.
- 10 Hiddenbrooke Neighbor Meet-ups were produced around town, attracting from 12-35 neighbors each time who explored places they told us were favorites or that they wanted to visit. In every case, we coordinated with the business owner in advance to identify the best time to visit in order to get special attention.
- Nextdoor.com recognition as "Convo Starter," "Biz Supporter," and "Party Planner" with as many as 845 page views for individual news items that we usually designated as "Hiddenbrooke only."
- Over 80 subscribers to our newsletter published occassionally to share website updates for those who complained they couldn't find us in their social media's algorithms
- Over 7,000 page views from over 2,500 users. Most users spend about 1.5 minutes on the site, viewing 2-3 articles. Our greatest number of users were in late February and mid-June. The top 10 most-viewed articles have been:
1. Vacancy: What Business Should Replace The Dry Cleaners? 2. Knowing Your WineMaker 3. Vallejo's Best Pizza Parlor 4. Celebrity Chef: Dining Adventure at Michael Warring 5. Glamorous Airport Travel 6. Provisions Serves Innovation 7. Mankas Corner Crawl
Our goal is to help Hiddenbrooke community residents discover common interests and connect with local businesses. We spotlight articles in Nextdoor, Facebook, and Instagram that link to our website at www.neighborexchange.org. Email your article topic suggestions and Meet-up location recommendations to us.
